Welcome

Welcome, I am a 49 year old Widowed mother of two, and my Insurence costs me all of my social securitie benefits. I was "Quoted" $27000 a year with a $12000 deductable, that was $39,000 not including the $45 co-pay per visit to the doctor. My husband was a highly decorated Veteran of the Special forces, serving in Laos and Vietnam We deserve Better, All of us. So help us make a change and stop letting politicians from using our health insurance for sound bytes for Votes

Have no heath insurance? Tell us why!

Welcome to We Deserve Health Insurance.
We believe that every person in he United States deserves basic, preventative health care, and the insurance to pay for it, as a matter of strengthening the country.
We are mamas, papas, small business owners, the underemployed working two part time jobs, with neither providing group coverage, students, children, adults, single parents, paired parents, widows.
We Deserve Health Insurance.
We do not specifically ask for single payer coverage, in fact we think that creating a larger pool can allow better access through the current system.
We want to hear your story. No matter how "typical" you think it might be, it is your individual story and it must be heard.
Starting in Colorado and surrounding states, we have the dream of a cooperative insurance pool that covers the uncovered, and perhaps for less than state insurance plans.

Please leave a short version of your story for us to tell lawmakers, to show the human face of policies that fail.
We'd like your name, the community and state where you live, and the details of why you cannot get adequate insurance and therefore access to health care.

With respect,
Insurance Mama
